September Wetter

Armagh Observatory reports that September was wetter, and slightly sunnier and warmer than average.

Rainfall amounted to 131.9 mm (5.19 inches), that is, about 73% more than the monthly average. The wettest day was the 6th when 38.1 mm fell.

The number of hours of sunshine was 117.4, that is, about 12% more than the average.

The mean monthly temperature was 13.7 degrees Celsius (56.6 degrees Fahrenheit), which is about one degree Celsius above average. There were two nights with grass frost. The warmest day occurred on the 3rd with a maximum temperature of 22.8 deg C.

These data refer to observations at Armagh Observatory, which has been recording the weather at Armagh since 1795.
