November Milder and Sunnier

Armagh Observatory reports that November was slightly sunnier and milder than average.

The number of hours of sunshine was 85.1, almost 50% higher than the average of 57.6 hours.

The mean monthly temperature was 7.4 degrees Celsius, almost a degree higher than the November average. There were thirteen nights with ground frost and two with air frost.

Precipitation amounted to 82.6 mm (3.25 inches), that is, only slightly above the average figure. The wettest day of the month was 15th when 22.8 millimetres of rain fell.

These data refer to observations at Armagh Observatory, which has been recording the weather at Armagh since 1795.
