Hi all,

Brendan McGowan of TASS asked me to pass on the following information:

"We're having our annual Space Week next week. Included in this is 3
lectures, a table quiz, a film showing and a night out. The night out + table
quiz are mostly for students really, but the others will be open to everyone.
The three talks are:

    1. Monday 18th February
Dr. Ian S. Sanders (Trinity College Dublin)
        The Early Solar System
7-30 PM; Museum Building, Trinity College

    2. Wednesday 20th February
Dr. Matthew J. Genge (Natural History Museum, London)
        Antarctic Micrometeorites
7-30 PM; [venue tbc - probably as above]

(In association with the Joly Geological Society)

    3. Thursday 21st February
Dr. Bill Napier (Armagh Observatory + Author)
Life In A Cosmic Setting: Some Mysteries
7-00 PM; Edmund Burke Lecture Theatre, Arts Building, Trinity

Wine Receptions to follow each talk - free wine, cheese, crisps and soft

The film is Friday at 7 in the Arts Block room 3108, Trinity College: we are
showing Aliens, starring Sigourney Weaver.

Free admission of course. Everyone is very welcome. I'm going to try and
publicise it a bit - newspapers and the like, and I think we've got some
interesting speakers (although two of them are geologists - that's what they
get for having a geologist in charge of TASS!). It would be good to have some
IAA members down if anyone could make it.

I'll send details of the location of the Wednesday talk when I book the room.
If there's anything else anyone wants to know, give me a shout.

As for Comet Ikeya-Zhang - another view tonight: still approaching 7th
magnitude, according to my observation.
